NICHOLAS BOYD
Principal Contractor
With a passion for construction that dates back to my early teenage years when I helped build a skateboard halfpipe with my father, I've become a 4th generation custom home builder. My journey in the construction industry began during my high school summers, and by the age of 24, I held my general contractor's license.
For the past 25 years, I have had the privilege of helping clients bring their dream homes to life. I approach every project with honesty, transparency, and professionalism, ensuring integrity and accountability at every step. My goal is to optimize the process and create the most highly customized, quality homes that enrich the lives of those who build them and those who live in them.
Outside of work, I'm a dedicated husband and father of two, finding balance through hobbies like playing the guitar, mountain biking, fitness, and spending quality time with friends and family. I work toward a world where all people have a fulfilling experience realizing their dream home, and all home builders thrive in their lives. At The Builders Collective, we prioritize honor, ownership, and mastery, striving for precision, style, and efficiency in all that we do.

Shane Steiper
Project Manager
Hi, my name is Shane and I currently serve as a Project Manager here at The Builders Collective. I was drawn to construction and custom residential building early on. Both my older brothers were builders, so it felt natural to follow in their footsteps. At TBC, I thrive in working with younger team members, passing on the knowledge I've gained over my 20 years in the construction industry. I started in The Collective as a Journeyman, transitioned to a Foreman, and have now climbed my way up to Project Manager. Hard work, the pursuit of perfection, and openness to new ideas are my guiding principles in construction.
Each project I undertake becomes a meaningful chapter in my life, filled with fond memories of the friendships I've forged with both my crew and the clients. Interacting with clients is the highlight of my job, and I carry with me each day a mindset centered on their best interests
Outside of work, I find balance through my interests in fitness, golf, snowboarding, and treasured family time with my beautiful wife and three year old daughter. Our love for beach days, hiking adventures, family barbecues, and visits with relatives provide the perfect counterpoint to my professional life.
Cody Clark
Project Manager
Hi, I’m Cody. As a Project Manager at The Builders Collective, my journey into custom residential construction is unique. Before dedicating my career to crafting dream homes, I led a double life as the lead guitarist in a punk rock band, touring across states and countries. This unconventional path instilled discipline and commitment, values I now integrate into my work.
My passion for building homes traces back to my childhood, where I often accompanied my father to job sites. The process of creating homes and the dedication of builders never failed to captivate me, sparking a lifelong commitment to custom home construction. With over a decade of hands-on experience, I thrive on the daily challenge of delivering excellence, whether it's overseeing tasks, ensuring team efficiency, or maintaining top-notch quality, consistently surpassing our clients' expectations.
Beyond the construction site, I find balance through cherished family time with my wife, daughter, and son on the way. I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and playing my guitar, which serves as my personal sanctuary. Within The Builders collective, my aspiration is to foster its growth, enhance my skills as a project manager, and oversee all aspects of custom home building to continue to turn dreams into reality.
KEVIN JOHNSON
Superintendent
Hello, I'm Kevin, and I proudly serve as a Superintendent at The Builders Collective. With a deep-rooted family legacy in the world of construction, it's safe to say that my passion
for home building is in my blood. My grandfather, uncle, and dad are all accomplished builders, so it was only natural for me to follow in their footsteps. My journey in construction began early, back in middle school, when I would lend a hand cleaning up my father's job sites. As I matured, we tackled an array of projects, including the ambitious Roaring Camp Bridge reconstruction. Over time, I found my niche in framing large custom homes, eventually ascending to the role of a foreman.
What I find most fulfi lling is mentoring apprentices and taking on formidable framing challenges. In my view, the foundations of a successful project lie in honesty, integrity, and teamwork. I make it a point to maintain an open mind and a can-do attitude, especially when working with our clients. I really enjoy the collaborative aspect of brainstorming and synchronizing efforts.
Looking forward, my aspirations involve crafting more custom homes and sharing my accomplishments with my children. When I'm not on the clock, my heart belongs to my family, particularly when we're immersed in off-road and lakeside adventures. My love for dirt biking dates back to when I was just eight years old, and I cherish the thrill of mountain trail rides on my dirt and mountain bikes. Family time, for me, means off-roading escapades, lakeside enjoyment, and memorable motorcycle journeys.”
